The Fourth Annual Midwest Mandolin Festival, presented by the Mandolin Society of Central Indiana, was held Saturday June 7, 2008, at Eagle Creek Park Earth Discovery Center (indoors due to record rainfall and flooding) in Indianapolis, 11:00am - 8:00pm. FREE with paid admission to the park ($5.00/car).

For the first time this year we had 2 nationally known mandolin players! Rich DelGrosso and Andra Faye performed! Rich taught a blues mandolin workshop the following day, just before the Yank Rachell CD Release Party at the Indiana History Center in Indianapolis, click here for details. At the festival there were two FREE workshops by festival performers at 11:00am: Myra Dworski and Jon Hall taught a beginning mandolin workshop focusing on chords and back-up playing, and Jim Richter taught an intermediate level blues mandolin workshop.
